A group of some of London’s finest chefs are preparing to

serve up a one-off food event to help raise money for the struggling Soho

Parish Church of England primary school on Great Windmill Street.

High profile chefs such as Alan Yau (The restaurant magnate behind Wagamama, Busaba Eathai, Hakkasan and Yauatcha to name a few) Mark Hix (the man behind Hix - voted 'Best New Restaurant 2010' by Time Out), Russell

Norman (Spuntino) and the Hart brothers (Barrafina and Quo Vadis) have all pledged their support to the school by

lending their culinary skills to the event on 25 June, where they will be

preparing dishes for the rock bottom price of £2 a portion. It’s a great chance

to sample some very unique dishes which would ordinarily cost a great deal more

in their respective restaurants as well as see the chefs in action, with

cookery demonstrations, where you could pick up some hints and tips to use in

your own kitchen.

The event will be held in St Anne’s Gardens on Wardour

Street and will help raise much needed funds for the school, which has close to

150 children and has been hard hit by government cuts.

So get the 25 June down your diaries and show your support

for your local primary school this summer!
